Iakwe aolep! Meet Adelina John. Adelina has worked with the Ministry of Finance, Banking, and Postal Services for 37 years and has not had any thought of slowing down. She is the Customs Officer or as she explained it “computer tax worker” and her favorite color is purple! Part of Adelina’s day-to-day duties is to ensure that taxation is done correctly and adhere to the RMI taxation laws.

This is an effort to improve our services and the convenience of financial transactions for citizens and businesses alike that use the Bank of Guam.

She is currently pursuing her master's degree in Environment & Society while also working as the Gender Specialist for the RMI Public Financial Management (PFM) project, a project that collaborates closely with the Ministry of Finance. In her role, Yoshiko reviews and monitors project documentation and objectives to ensure that gender considerations are fully integrated at every project stage. Her work promotes gender sensitivity and inclusivity in the project's implementation and outcomes.

On Thursday, September 7th, 2023 the Ministry of Finance’s Minister, Casten N. Nemra and Deputy Secretary Ywao Elanzo Jr. met with former Tobolar Manager, Mr. Eugene Wase who will be departing to International Monetary Fund (IMF) Headquarters in Washington, D.C to take on his new role as an Advisor to the Executive Director. The Ministry of Finance expressed their gratitude to Mr. Eugene Wase for accepting the Government’s nomination and congratulates him on his new role as an Advisor.
