Department of Customs

What We Do

The Customs Department within MOFBPS is to ensure compliance with national and international trade regulations by managing the import and export of goods. It oversees the accurate classification, valuation, and declaration of goods, ensuring that duties, taxes, and other customs-related charges are correctly calculated and paid. The department also mitigates risks associated with customs violations, tariffs, and trade restrictions, protecting the Ministry from financial penalties. Additionally, it collaborates with other departments to optimize supply chain costs and maintain smooth cross-border operations, supporting the Ministry’s overall financial health and regulatory compliance.
